About Us

Jack comes to us from great line of champion herding dogs from the US and Scotland. Though he prefers Frisbees and tennis balls to the four legged wooly types he has been caught doing a little late night web surfing of herding trial scores.

Known for his ability to stare and circle furniture incessantly, Jack is truly the smartest being at ABS.

Jayson Smith, owner and founder of Atlanta Blind & Shade, Inc. has been in the window coverings industry since 1990. A native Atlantan and Georgia State University graduate (86) BBA Finance, Jayson has lived and worked in the Atlanta Metro area, with the exception of 91-93 in Los Angeles where he worked for Blue Chip Drapery, since his birth in 1964.

As a supporter of the arts and of Scouting (Eagle Scout ’80), Jayson invests most of his spare time in the theatre or hiking, camping, hunting, skiing, or golfing. Lately though, most of his time has been dedicated to his business.

Atlanta Blind & Shade, Inc. was founded in March of 1994 and has steadily become one of the leaders in the window fashion industry. Starting as an installer with Atlanta Home Interiors in 1990 and quickly moving into sales Jayson helped grow that company until moving to Los Angeles to take a position with Blue Chip Drapery. While in L.A. he worked in every department of Blue Chip learning the business from the inside out until he was ready to open his own business back here in Atlanta in 1994.

Since that time Atlanta Blind & Shade, Inc. has become one of the top window treatment retail services in Georgia. Atlanta Blind & Shade, Inc. has remained committed to “ …creating the most successful window treatment retail company by setting the standard of excellence by which other companies are measured.”

Jennifer comes to us with years of knowledge and experience in window coverings and design, Jennifer is our presence in the Cartersville and Northwest Metro area.

Wife to Jeremy, mother to Julia, Jessica and Jillian.

Becky has been a breath of fresh air and a welcome addition to team ABS. With over 20 years experience in customer service and CRM, Becky brings a level we have always strived for and now have achieved. A native of Austell and fellow graduate of South Cobb High School (same as our founder), Becky is active in her church and is finally a green thumb in out midst. Now we can green up our showroom.
